Bulandshahr: Bulandshahr is a city and a municipal board in Bulandshahr district in the state of Uttar Pradesh, India. It is the administrative headquarters of Bulandshahr District. This city is part of the Delhi National Capital Region.
Mr. Santosh Kumar Singh IPS, the son of the 74th. Batch Indian Revenue Service (IRS) officer, Mr. C.R.Bunkar, who retired as the Commissioner of Customs, Guntur, and homemaker Mrs. Vidya Bunkar, Mr. Santosh’s early life had probably prepared him for the grind of transfers a career in the Civil Services entails. As his father got posted in different States, a young Santosh saw 6 different schools across Maharashtra, Hyderabad, Bhubaneswar, and Allahabad. The charm of the uniform began at home, evident from his kindergarten years when his parents had an authentic police uniform specially tailored for him. He has taken a History Honours Degree at St.Stephen’s College, followed by a Masters in the same subject from the University of Delhi and three hard cracks at the Civil Services Exam, catapulted him into the IPS.
As per the instructions of Senior Superintendent of Police, Mr. Santosh Kumar Singh (IPS) in order to make the Lockdown that has been initiated due to the deadly Coronavirus pandemic which is highly contagious and life-threatening in India successful and enhance the security arrangements, all the police personal in their respective jurisdictions are patrolling their respective areas to maintain the successful lockdown and simultaneously maintain law and order.
