Chennai: On 04.07.2021, early morning, while Head Constable Mr. S. Harikrishnan and Home Guard Mr.K.S. Ashwin Kumar of T16 Nazarathpet Police Station was patrolling near Nazarathpet signal found 3 persons traveling in 2 two-wheelers and when they intercepted 2 persons fled away. The third person namely Vijay (M/ 24) of Tirupathur District who attempted to escape in a two-wheeler was apprehended with the help of police constable Mr. V.M Ekambaram of T16 Nazarathpet police station. Investigation revealed that Vijay had stolen a two-wheeler in the Poonamallee area at the midnight and the motorcycle was seized from him. The 2 persons who had managed to escape had left the stolen two-wheeler near Saint Gobain Company, Mambakkam, and ran away. Even that two-wheeler also was recovered.
On 06.07.2021, the Commissioner of Police Mr. Shankar Jaiswal IPS, personally invited the Head Constable Mr.Harikrishnan, Police Constable Mr. Ekambaram, Home Guard Mr. Ashwin, and lauded their work by presenting them with certificates of appreciation and rewards.
