Rachakonda: On 2.5.2015 Meerpet Police received a complaint from Sri. Bandi Ramesh, S/o Madhava Rao, aged 39 years, Occupation; Cloth Business, resident of Sai Nagar Colony, Old Alwal, Hyderabad, wherein he stated that his younger brother/deceased Bandi Suresh Kumar, aged 37 years. Occupation; Auto Driver whose marriage was performed with Sreelatha, resident of Uppuguda on 12.2.2004, and they were blessed with two children. They led happy marital life for three years of their marriage. The deceased Suresh disposed of the house which was inherited from his parents. In this connection, quarrels took place between the deceased Suresh and his wife Sreelatha, due to which Sreelatha came to her parental house and stayed along with her children. The deceased did not show his face for two years. The parents of Sreelatha purchased a plot at AGR Colony, Badangpet, Saroornagar Mandal, and constructed a house and gave it to Sreelatha. Then the deceased Suresh came to his wife and continued marital life with her. While he was running an auto, he did not give money to run the family. He used to consume alcohol with his earnings and used to quarrel with her in a drunken state. The deceased started demanding her to transfer the house in his name to clear the dues and continued to quarrel with her. Moreover, he imputed illegal contacts with others. After few days, again the deceased started demanding and quarreling with his wife to transfer the house in his name otherwise threatened to kill her and continued to impute extra-marital life with others and also suspected her fidelity. Due to which Sreelatha was vexed with the demeanor of the deceased who was threatening her to kill then she decided to eliminate him and get rid of the problems. While the things stood, on 1.5.2015 in the morning at about 9.30 AM Tenant of Sreelatha Mrs. S. Parvathi telephoned and informed Sreelatha that the deceased brought an ax and was breaking the glass doors of the house and threatened her to vacate the house. Immediately, Sreelatha informed the same to her elder brother Goshala Lokeshwar, son of Jaya Surya Prakash, aged 35 years, and her parents. She informed about the harassment meted out to her by the deceased to Dhanraj and requested to help her in eliminating the deceased and offered to give some amount to him, for which he gave consent. Kalishetti Dhanraj alias Dhannu, son of Bikshapathi, aged 26 years told her to go to her house at Badangpet and he would join her along with his friends. Then Sreelatha along with her elder sister’s son JCL aged 15 years came to her house at Badangpet and by that time the deceased broke all the glasses in the bedroom and was sleeping in an inebriated state. On seeing this situation, Sreelatha became furious and at the same time, Lokeshwar also reached there. On seeing this, Lokeshwar told her to kill him on that day itself. In the meantime, Kalishetti Dhanraj alias Dhannu along with Rahul and Shankar came on Honda Activa. Kalishetti Dhanraj alias Dhannu, Rahul, and Shankar caught hold of the deceased firmly and then Sreelatha gagged her chunni into the mouth of the deceased and tied both the hands. All the accused of them beat the deceased with sticks, due to which the deceased sustained severe bleeding injuries and died.
Basing on the complaint a case was registered at Meerpet Police Station, during the course of the investigation, the 1st IO Sri. C. Venkataiah, SIP of Meerpet Police Station, Now Ramannapet Police Station Rachakonda collected evidence, arrested the accused, and remanded him to judicial custody. On completion of the investigation the 2nd 10 Mr. G. Biksham Reddy, Inspector of Police, Meerpet Police Station Now ACP Charminar filed the charge sheet against all the accused and separate charge sheet on JCL in the court. During the trial on 30.9.2021 the Hon’ble VIII ADJ Court Judge Ms. N. Prema Latha convicted all accused to undergo Life Imprisonment and imposed a fine of Rs.10,000/-each.
In this case the 1st IO Mr. C. Venkataiah, SIP of Meerpet Police Station, Now Ramannapet Police Station, 2nd 10 Mr. G. Biksham Reddy, Inspector of Police, Meerpet Police Station Now ACP Charminar, CDO Mr. G.Bheemaiah of Meerpet and Addl.PP Mr.T.V.Prasad has attended on behalf of the prosecution.

Nagar Mr. Sunpreet Singh, IPS., for their efforts in getting Life Imprisonment conviction to all the accused and announced rewards to them.
