Mysuru City, Karnataka, June 21: In a vibrant display of unity, wellness, and tradition, the 11th International Yoga Day – 2025 was celebrated with great enthusiasm at the iconic Mysore Palace premises at 6:00 AM today. The event was jointly organized by the Government of India, Government of Karnataka, District Administration, Zilla Panchayat Mysuru, and the Ayush Department.
The program was conducted under the esteemed leadership of District In-charge Minister Dr. H.C. Mahadevappa, with the gracious presence of Lok Sabha MP Shri Yaduveer Krishnadatta Chamaraja Wodeyar and MLA T.S. Srivatsasa. Mysuru District Collector Shri Lakshmikanth Reddy, IAS, and Police Commissioner Smt. Seema Latkar, IPS, were also present and played key roles in ensuring the smooth conduct of the event.
An estimated 10,000 to 12,000 yoga enthusiasts, including members from various organizations and yoga institutions, gathered in large numbers to mark the occasion. The event celebrated the rich heritage of yoga and promoted its benefits for physical and mental well-being.
The Mysuru Police ensured tight security and seamless coordination, making the event a grand success. The celebration reflected the city’s continued commitment to promoting health and cultural values through yoga.
