Nagaland police busted a network dealing in fake documents and certificates from various parts of Dimapur and Kohima. Following a complaint from the principal of a reputed school in Dimapur, regarding a person seeking admission with fake documents, Police personnel led by investigating officer Mhasivolie Chadi, ASI, arrested the accused.
Police said that after interrogating the accused identified as one Atila (20), the others involved in the racket were also apprehended. The main accused, identified as Lichotri Stm (40), was arrested including two others, Yankiu Yimchung (45), and Thrilongba Sangtam (40). Police also arrested one Daniel Aye (25), from whose shop the forged documents were seized.
The Police seized various fake documents, seals, printer and computer. The fake documents included marksheets of Nagaland Board of School Education, Nagaland University, St. Dominic College, Shillong and some other colleges and schools.All the accused have been put under judicial custody, as investigations was on, police informed.
