Hyderabad, Telangana, 22 Sept 2025: In a major breakthrough, the Nallakunta Police, East Zone, successfully apprehended three goldsmiths involved in multiple cheating cases and recovered stolen property worth ₹90 lakhs.
The accused — Abbas Ali Seikh (46), Razzak Seikh (23), and Ramij Seikh (24), residents of Chelapura, Hyderabad and natives of West Bengal — had cheated jewellers by diverting over 1.9 kg of gold entrusted to them for repair and ornament making. The fraud spanned across four police station limits — Nallakunta, Goshamahal, Hussainialam, and Charminar.
Acting swiftly on credible intelligence, a dedicated crime team led by A. Ramulu, Addl. Inspector of Police, apprehended the offenders. Police recovered gold, cash, and stones worth ₹90 lakhs from their possession.
Senior officers praised the team’s effective operation, noting that this successful crackdown reflects the Hyderabad City Police’s strong commitment to protecting public trust and ensuring justice for the victims.
