Hyderabad: On 20-06-2024, at 08:30 AM, while patrolling, the SR Nagar Police apprehended three individuals suspected of peddling ganja: Mohammed Abdul Kalam alias Bunny, Bommena Jhonsen, and Molugoori Naveen. They were found near ABC Hotel, Shiva Bagh Colony, Ameerpet. Based on their confessions, the police also apprehended three more individuals involved in the operation: Suluva Suresh, Mamidipally Rajesh, and Kosuri Sathish at Saleem Nagar, Malakpet, Hyderabad. The police seized 21 kg 40 grams of ganja worth approximately Rs. 5,26,000/-, seven cell phones, and one Maruti Swift Dzire car from their possession. The main accused, Ashok from Odisha, is currently absconding.

Earlier that day, around 08:30 AM, Mohammed Abdul Kalam alias Bunny, Bommena Jhonsen, and Molugoori Naveen were found loitering suspiciously in front of ABC Hotel. During police patrol, they were apprehended and found in possession of ganja packets. Upon questioning, they revealed information leading to the arrest of Suluva Suresh and Mamidipally Rajesh. Ashok, from Odisha, had sent 21 kg of ganja to Kosuri Sathish through Krishna, which was collected at Secunderabad Railway Station. When the SR Nagar Police, along with the three initially arrested, arrived at Saleem Nagar, Kosuri Sathish handed over the ganja to Suluva Suresh and Mamidipally Rajesh, who then stored it in their car. As Kosuri Sathish was leaving, he was apprehended by the police.
