Delhi: The Delhi Police have taken a significant step towards solving a shocking murder case in Northeast Delhi’s Jafrabad, which occurred on June 8. In connection with this heinous crime, they have successfully apprehended a 20-year-old individual named Azmal Ansari, who hails from North Ghonda.

The victim of this tragic incident has been identified as Shamima Begum. Disturbingly, it has come to light that the main perpetrators behind her murder are none other than her own nephews, Zahid and Shahid. These two individuals, driven by their desire to evade repayment of a substantial sum of money they had borrowed from their aunt, resorted to hiring Azmal Ansari, along with two others named Nazim and Ranjit, to execute this heinous act.

Delhi Police Mourns Inspector

At present, the two nephews, Zahid and Shahid, along with the aforementioned accomplices, Nazim and Ranjit, are currently on the run, having managed to elude law enforcement authorities. The Delhi Police, however, are leaving no stone unturned in their efforts to bring them to justice and ensure they face the consequences of their actions.

The investigation into this case has been meticulously conducted, with the authorities thoroughly examining the crime scene and carefully scrutinizing the CCTV footage surrounding the area. Upon reviewing the footage, it was observed that on the day of the crime, five unknown individuals, none of whom were residents of the vicinity, were seen approaching the victim’s residence.

As the investigation progressed, the police received crucial intelligence indicating that one of the individuals captured in the CCTV footage had altered his appearance, sporting a new haircut and adopting a deceptive look. This vital piece of information prompted the police to swiftly launch a raid in the Noor-e-Elahi area, resulting in the arrest of Azmal Ansari.

During the subsequent interrogation, Ansari disclosed shocking details about the motive and planning behind the murder. It was revealed that Zahid and Shahid had been residing in their maternal aunt Shamima Begum’s house and had borrowed a substantial amount of Rs 10 lakh from her. However, they continuously delayed the repayment, resorting to various excuses and pretexts.

Over time, as tensions mounted and Shamima began expressing her frustration and humiliation over their inability to repay the borrowed funds, Zahid and Shahid began concocting a sinister plot to eliminate their aunt. In their nefarious scheme, they enlisted the help of Ansari, Nazim, and Ranjit to carry out the act of murder.

To evade suspicion and mislead the authorities, Zahid and Shahid strategized their actions carefully. Shahid decided to stay with one of their sisters during the time of the crime, aiming to create an alibi, while Zahid planned to remain at the crime scene to deliberately divert attention. Zahid also instructed the other suspects to physically assault him during the altercation, thereby attempting to create an impression of innocence and deflect scrutiny.

The arrest of Azmal Ansari is undoubtedly a significant breakthrough in this ongoing investigation. The Delhi Police, with their steadfast determination and rigorous efforts, are committed to tracking down the remaining suspects and ensuring that justice is served for the senseless murder of Shamima Begum.
