Chennai: The Tamil Nadu government has introduced a program called ‘Reform Wings’ for all prisoners to prevent them from re-incarceration. This project was launched yesterday in Puzhal Jail. In the first phase of this project, 30 inmates were selected and self-employed ‘entrepreneurial’ development training was started yesterday to enable them to start businesses with low investment and live independently after coming out of jail. The function was inaugurated by the Deputy Commissioner of Prisons Department, Chennai Kanagaraj. Jail Superintendent Nikhila Nagendran, Jail Officer Ilango, Psychologist Bhaskaran and others were present.
