COIMBATORE: The National Investigation Agency (NIA) officers today inspected the spot near Sangameswarar temple at Kottaimedu where a car bomb blast was reported on October 23 morning 4am.
NIA superintendent of police Mr. T. Sreejith, Inspector Mr. S. Vignesh and their team conducted an inquiry with the temple priest S Sundaresan.
The NIA officials investigate upto 20 minutes inside the temple. The police blocked the Kottai Eswaran Street and stopped the vehicle movements completely to assist the investigation process.
The officials will visit the residence of Jameesha Mubin (29) who died in car blast at HMPR Street from where more than 75kg explosive materials were seized.
Already, Coimbatore city police arrested six persons in these case. Meanwhile, the case was handed over to the National Investigation Agency, Chennai branch by Tamil Nadu Government.
