Hyderabad, Telangana: Under the leadership of Ms. S. Rashmi Perumal, IPS, Deputy Commissioner of Police, North Zone, the Hyderabad City Police organized a series of Community Policing and Awareness Programs across all police station limits in the North Zone. The initiative, part of the ongoing Community Connect Program, aimed to strengthen police-public relations and promote awareness on vital social and safety issues.
DCP Rashmi Perumal personally visited St. Anthony’s Girls High School, Subash Road, Secunderabad (Mahankali PS limits), where she interacted with students on topics including mental health, bullying, cyber safety, physical security, and the dangers of drug abuse. She urged students to prioritize mental well-being, maintain digital discipline, and make positive lifestyle choices.
Across the zone, police teams conducted awareness sessions on cybercrime prevention, drug-free living, traffic safety, civic responsibility, and emergency services (DIAL 100). More than 1,600 participants, including students, teachers, and community members, actively engaged in these programs designed to create a safe, informed, and responsible society.
The North Zone Police reaffirmed their commitment to community partnership and preventive policing through education, awareness, and citizen engagement.
