Cuddalore, Tamil Nadu, November 2025: Villupuram Range Deputy Inspector General of Police and Sub divisional Vice President Mrs. E.S. Uma, IPS, along with Cuddalore District Superintendent of Police Mr. S. Jayakumar, IPS, personally inspected the elaborate security arrangements in place for the Kumbabhishekam ceremony at Sri Govindaraja Perumal Temple, Chidambaram.
During the inspection, the officers reviewed the deployment of police personnel, crowd management systems, vehicle parking arrangements, and emergency response measures to ensure smooth and safe conduct of the religious event.
Mrs. Uma, IPS, issued detailed instructions to the officers on duty regarding effective crowd control, regulation of devotees’ movement, coordination with temple authorities, and maintaining vigilance throughout the event.
SP Jayakumar, IPS, emphasized the importance of maintaining order and ensuring public convenience during the large gathering expected for the sacred ceremony.
Senior officers, including Additional Superintendents of Police, Deputy Superintendents of Police, and Inspectors from nearby stations, participated in the inspection and discussed coordination strategies for the upcoming event.
