Jammu: The Jammu District Police continuing its drive against drugs, under operation Sanjeevani arrested 5 drug peddlers on February 10, 2020, and recovered intoxicating capsules.
A police party of PP Panjtirthi headed by I/C PP SI Mr.Vinod Kumar while on duty near Matador Stop, apprehended one person who was roaming around in the vicinity in suspicious circumstances. He was identified as Arif Nabi Son of Ghulam Nabi Resident of Kargil. On conducting a search on him, 15 Challies Charas weighing 300 Gms. was recovered from his possession.
In relation to this, case FIR No. 26/2020 U/S 8/20 NDPS Act has been registered at Pacca Danga Police Station and the investigation was initiated.
On the same day, a Police party of PP Panjtirthi while on patrolling at Ambphalla Chowk signaled a vehicle (Qualis) bearing registration number JK02U-6660 to stop for checking which was on its way towards CPO Chowk. The driver of the vehicle and side seated persons were identified as Sanjay Kumar Resident Of Jammu, Mukesh Kumar Resident Of Akhnoor, Anjum Ali Resident Of Mendhar and Ashu Resident Of Satwari. On conducting a search on them Charas weighing 250 Gms. was recovered from their possession.
In connection with this, case FIR No. 25/2020 U/S 8/20/29 NDPS Act has been registered at Pacca Danga Police Station and investigation of the case is going on.
