Rachakonda: The sleuths of Medipally Crime team of Rachakonda Commissionerate have made sincere efforts and on 30.8.2022 at 1800 hours apprehended one Automobile offender under suspicious circumstances near Manikonda. A case was registered at Medipally Police Station, Rachakonda. On questioning he revealed detailed History, confessed house burglary offence and Automobile offences committed by him.
The accused was identified as Guntaka Bharath Kumar Reddy(22) son of Venkat Reddy resident of Near Marrichettu, Manikonda native of Suddhala village, Gundala Mandal, Jangoan District.
Bharath Kumar Reddy is a Native of Hyderabad and he has one sister and his father runs an Auto for their livelihood and his mother works at a private bank as an outsourcing employee, Bharath Kumar Reddy studied up to Intermediate and from 10th standard onwards he got addicted to bad habits and used to smoke, consume alcohol, after his studies he started to work as an electrician along with his uncle. Thereafter he left electrician work and started to work at Motorcycle mechanic shop, since he was addicted to bad habits like consuming alcohol, smoking and other bad habits the money earned by him was not sufficient enough to meet his lavish expenditures as such he thought to commit some property offence and accordingly he has stolen an empty bank cheque pertaining to his father and fraudulently without his father’s knowledge he has forged his father’s sign and withdrew an amount of Rs.70,000/- and spent the same for his lavish expenditures, thereafter his father filed a case against him for stealing the cheque at Kushaiguda Police Station, the Police have arrested him and sent him to Judicial remand and he was in Prison for a period of 3 months, after his release from jail he went back home. Thereafter he did not change his attitude and used to spend late night with friends due to which his father warned him as such he took fight with his father and beat him resulting which his father received bleeding injury, thereafter again a case was filed against him at Jawaharnagar PS and was sent to Judicial Remand. After release he did not go home and went to his grandparents place at Alair where he stayed for a period of two months, after that he came back to Hyderabad and used to stay at the houses of friends temporarily, in the month of October 2021 when he was consuming Ganja with friends he was caught by Ghatkesar Police and sent to Judicial Remand under NDPS Act and was in prison for a period of 9 months, after release from jail again he went back to his grandparents place, after staying there for a period of 10 days again I came back to Hyderabad and committed the above mentioned Automobile thefts.
Break Through of the case: The Medipally Police Crime team has after receipt of the complaint has verified CC cameras right from the place of offence from Gayatrihills Nagar, Boduppal to Manikonda, Cyberabad where the offender was caught. The team has thoroughly verified more than 180 cameras enroute tracking the stolen Tata Tiago vehicle and finally it was last sighted near Manikonda Marri chettu bus stand area going in a lane, the team while proceeding in search of the said vehicle on 30.08.2022 at about 1800hrs near Manikonda area the offender came opposite to the Police party and when the Police tried to nab him, he left the car and started running on which DSI Laxman, PC Kranthi have chased him and caught hold of him. Later the car and the offender were brought to PS. The CC cameras have helped us to crack the case. The importance of CC cameras has once again comes to light in this case which has lead to the apprehension of the offender.

Haribabu PC 10180, Mr. B Shiva Kumar PC 4315, Ms. J Vishali WPC 9989, Mr. D Raj Kumar PC 11263, Mr. M Narender ARPC 12559 of Medipally Police Station.
DSI Mr. Lakshman, PC 11297 Mr. B Kranthi and PC 4176 Mr.U Nagender have played a key role in the apprehension of the offender and they will be rewarded suitably.
