Rachakonda: In an effort to root out organized Human trafficking networks in Commissionerate and to create a sense of safety and security among the family system, College going students, and youth not to fall into trafficking network, C.P. Rachakonda invoked PD Act against one habitual Inter-National human trafficking offender, who was indulging in an organized online prostitution racket in the limits of Meerpet Police Station and detained her in Special Prison for Women, Chenchalguda, Hyderabad on 04-10-2021.
The accused/proposed detenu Namubiru Siana, a native of Uganda Country has come to India on visiting Visa. After the expiry of her VISA, she did not go back and overstayed in India. Three months ago, she came to Hyderabad and took a rented flat at Al-Noor Residency, Nizam Colony, Tolichowki for an amount of Rs.6,000/- per month and has decided to earn money through the easy way by doing prostitution in Hyderabad City.
She uploads attractive girls’ photos and phone numbers in “Locanto Dating App” by mentioning that independent African girls are available in Hyderabad for good fun” and thus attracting male customers for sexual pleasures on payment. When the male customers rang up them for girls, she insists they send the amount through an e-wallet, and after receiving the amount, she sends the girls to them. She also allows customers to her house for prostitution on huge payments. Thus, she has been trafficking innocent girls, exploiting them, and running prostitution with them.
The racket was busted through a joint decoy operation and acting on a tip-off, the Anti-Human Trafficking Team of Rachakonda along with Meerpet Police laid a trap and arrested the accused Namubiru Siana on 29-07-2021and rescued one Uganda national victim woman and admitted her in rescue home through Hon’ble Court for proper counseling and take care till her departure to their home town. The arrested accused/proposed detenu was remanded to judicial custody.
With a view to prevent her from indulging in human trafficking for the sake of prostitution and to preserve public order, Mr. Mahesh M. Bhagwat IPS, Commissioner of Police, Rachakondaagain invoked PD Act against her and detained her in Special Prison for Women, Chenchalguda, Hyderabad on 04-10-2021.
