Hyderabad, Telangana: In a major breakthrough, the Hyderabad Commissioner’s Task Force (Central Zone), in coordination with the Amberpet Police, busted an organized online Satta betting racket operating out of a rented flat in Bagh Amberpet. Based on credible intelligence, the joint team apprehended six individuals on 24-06-2025 and seized property worth approximately ₹20 lakhs.
The seized items include ₹79,000 in betting proceeds, 17 mobile phones, a laptop, a car, a bike, rubber stamps, Satta charts, and a printer. The arrested accuseds are primarily from Kagaz Nagar and Karimnagar. According to police, the group used fake Facebook profiles and UPI applications to collect money from unsuspecting participants. They manipulated betting outcomes and lured victims by offering small profits initially, along with fake promotional videos to gain their trust.
The police have issued a strong appeal to the public to stay away from illegal betting activities and to report any suspicious behavior to law enforcement authorities. Such swift actions reflect the city’s firm stance against organized cyber and financial crimes.
