Assam, Kokrajhar: As part of the ongoing efforts under Operation Praghat, the Special Task Force (STF) of Assam, in collaboration with Kokrajhar Police, successfully averted a potentially devastating terror attack planned by members of the ABT (Ansarullah Bangla Team) and AQIS (Al-Qaeda in the Indian Subcontinent) cell. Acting on specific intelligence inputs, law enforcement agencies apprehended two suspected jihadi operatives believed to be deeply involved in the conspiracy.
During the operation, authorities seized a significant cache of arms, ammunition, and other war-like materials, indicating the advanced stage of planning for the intended attack.
