Pauri Garhwal: 3 vicious liquor smugglers of Haryana were arrested while transporting 23 boxes of illegal English liquor. Senior Superintendent of Police, District Pauri Garhwal Mr. Yashwant Chauhan IPS, has directed all the stations in charge for the prevention of crimes in view of the upcoming Vidhan Sabha elections, to effectively curb the trend of drugs in the district, those who buy and sell drugs illegally.
In the sequence of which, on 9.1.2022, under the direction of Additional Superintendent of Police Mrs. Manisha Joshi IPS, Circle Officer, Circle Srinagar, under the supervision of Mr. Shyam Dutt Nautiyal, the Devprayag Police under the leadership of SHO Mr. Sunil Panwar, accused Sunil, Manoj Kumar, Rajesh was arrested while transporting 23 boxes of illegal English liquor from near Ramkund check post in vehicle number HR26 CG 1058 (Scorpio car).
In this regard, a case was registered against the accused under the Excise Act at Devprayag police station. The accused are vicious criminals. Accused Sunil has also gone to jail in Bhatinda Punjab for smuggling liquor in the past and a case has also been registered against accused Manoj in Haryana. Information about the criminal history of the accused is being done. The campaign is going on in the district to prevent crime, to effectively curb drug addiction, and against those who buy and sell drugs illegally. The police seized 23 boxes of illegal English liquor and Vehicle Number HR26 CG 1058 (Scorpio Car) from their possession.
The Police Team involved in the case is SHO Mr. Sunil Panwar, Sub-Inspector Mr. Amit Saini, Chief constable Mr. Arvind Kumar, Constable Mr. Kuldeep Dimri, Constable Mr. Rampal Singh, Constable Mr. Sanjay Kumar, Constable Mr. Rukesh Kumar, Female constable Ms. Babita, and Female constable Ms. Kusum Topwal.
