Pauri Garhwal: Today, on 03.01.2022, a visit to Kotwali Kotdwar was done by Mr. Yashwant Chauhan, IPS Senior Superintendent of Police.
The SP conducted interaction with dignitaries and journalists and the details are given below.
First of all, the salute was taken by the SP at the police station. After that, after organizing a seminar with the dignitaries and journalist brothers of Kotwali Kotdwar area, the introduction of everyone present in the seminar and getting suggestions related to law and order in view of the upcoming Vidhan Sabha elections-2022. The SP drew attention to the following points:-
Suggestions were given by the dignitaries present in the seminar regarding the traffic system in the Kotdwar area, drug smugglers, gamblers, and parking problems on National Highway. The concerned police officers present were directed to solve the above problems and suggestions.
At present, in view of the increasing outbreak of Omicron variants of COVID-19, it has been told to motivate them to wear masks and maintain social distancing regularly. By giving information about the new guidelines of COVID-19, it was inspired to follow the COVID curfew from 11:00 pm to 5:00 am.
At present, fog is being felt more, while driving, regularly using fog lights in vehicles, other people were also motivated to make them aware. In this regard, the district police are also constantly being made aware through social media platforms.
The SP conducted Seminar with Police Personnel. In the seminar, all the police personnel appointed in Kotdwar were directed by SP to take a conference in the police station premises of Kotdwar and the concerned were directed to solve their problems.
Along with maintaining a high standard of discipline/turnout of the police personnel, besides behaving well with the public, their complaints were directed to be acted upon as per rules.
It was directed to take legal action on the complaints received by the dignitaries regarding the sale of illicit liquor, other drug smugglers, and gamblers in the Kotdwar area. If the above complaints are received in any outpost area, light area, beat area, then action will be taken against the concerned post/light in charge and beat employee as per rules.
The town of Kotdwar in Pauri Garhwal district is a densely populated city. Due to the increase in vehicles at present, the police officers present were directed to make further improvements in the traffic system.
He directed the beat constable to have complete knowledge of the beat area as well as to maintain better coordination with the general public. Along with this, the police personnel was motivated to take care of their health and do yoga/PT/parade.
Afterward, the SP made a surprise inspection of Kotwali Kotdwar and during the inspection, he was attracted to the below mentioned.
On receiving the complaints of the complainants at the Women Help Desk set up at the police station, listening to their complaints on a priority basis, and taking special interest in the cases were directed to take action.
In view of the upcoming Vidhan Sabha elections-2022, the arms of the holders were directed to deposit 100 percent on a top priority basis.
In view of the upcoming Vidhan Sabha elections-2022, the Kotdwar area of the district is a very sensitive area due to the border of Uttar Pradesh with Bijnor. Therefore, the concerned police officers were directed to take legal action against drug dealers as per rules to effectively curb them.
After visiting the police station premises, taking stock of the cleanliness, it was directed to dispose of the goods litigation vehicles parked in the police station premises as per rules.
After checking the records kept in the police station offices, it was directed to maintain the records properly and to clear the pending discussions at the earliest.
Inspections of barracks, mess, computer rooms, CCTNS, CCTV cameras, computer equipment, etc. were directed to maintain the equipment properly.
To prevent cybercrime, crimes related to women, more and more awareness programs were directed to be done among the schools/colleges of the police station area and more public.
In view of the increasing spread of the new variant Omicron, which is currently running, it was directed to make the general public awareness as well as strictly follow the guidelines issued by the state government.
