Hyderabad City: On June 13, 2024, Hyderabad City Police Commissioner Mr. Kothakota Sreenivasa Reddy, IPS, chaired a coordination meeting to prepare for the upcoming Bakrid. The meeting, held at Salarjung Museum Auditorium, included Mr. Vikram Singh Mann, Addl. CP, Law & Order, Mr. P. Vishwa Prasad IPS, Addl. CP Traffic, Mr. V. Satyanarayana, Addl. CP, Headquarters and Training, Ms. Amrapali, I.A.S., Incharge Commissioner, GHMC, as well as political leaders, Moulvis, Qureshis, Ulemas, City Police officers, and officials from the waterworks, electricity, and Animal Husbandry and Veterinary departments.

Commissioner Reddy assured attendees of the police department’s full cooperation in ensuring a peaceful Bakrid celebration. He emphasized that all rules and regulations would be strictly enforced, and no one would be allowed to take the law into their own hands. Representatives from the GHMC and other departments also pledged to provide uninterrupted services to support the festival. Commissioner Reddy assured that law and order arrangements would be in place, allowing all community members to celebrate Bakrid without any concerns.
