Dindigul: Kuppusamy (44), who is dealing in cool drinks, was storing the materials in a garden godown at Tumpichampatti Budur, Dindigul District. On a tip-off received by the Othanchatram Police Station, that liquor bottles and Gutka products were illegally stored in his godown, conducted a special patrol and raided the said godown.
During the raid the police found 1392 bottles of fake liquor and 196.32 kg of Gutka which is valued at Rs.1,31,474/-, were found at the place. Subsequently, Kuppusamy, Moses Benita, Syed Mohammad (A) Mustafa, who were involved in the incident, were arrested by the Inspector and Sub-Inspector of Othanchatram Police Station and taken to court custody.
