Thrissur Rural: In Thrissur Rural, a man involved in POCSO cases, who had been evading court appearances while disguising himself, was arrested. The arrested person was identified as Monapilli Arun (33 years old), a resident of Chalakudy V.R. Puram, under the supervision of Rural SP and Iringalakuda DYSP, as per the instructions of Mr. Aishwarya Donggre IPS. Mr. TK Shaiju, Alur Inspector Mr. M.B. Sibin, and their team were responsible for apprehending the accused. The accused, who was involved in multiple cases, including the gang rape of a minor girl in 2021, had a total of fourteen cases registered against him. The Chalakudy Fast Track POCSO Court had issued an arrest warrant for him as he was out on bail and had failed to appear in court. Subsequently, he was arrested and produced before the court, where he was remanded. Additionally, he was also implicated in the Chalakudy station beating case. The team that apprehended the accused consisted of Senior CPOs Mr. PK Manoj, Mr. ES Jeevan, Mr. PA Dani, and CPOs Mr. KS Umesh and Mr. KS Bilahari.
