Tiruvallur: In the environs of Kalpakkam, near Meenjoor in Tiruvallur district, reside over 50 families belonging to the Narikuruvar tribe. These marginalized communities find themselves grappling with severe livelihood challenges when confronted with natural calamities such as rains and storms. In a recent episode of inclement weather, the Narikuruvar tribe faced significant disruptions to their daily lives.
In a commendable effort to alleviate the distress of the affected community members, the local police stepped in to provide essential relief assistance. The relief efforts orchestrated by the police encompassed the distribution of crucial provisions, including rice, vegetables, milk, bread, and blankets. This timely aid not only addressed the immediate needs of the Narikuruvar families but also served as a testament to the proactive role played by law enforcement in safeguarding the well-being of vulnerable populations during times of crisis.
