<![CDATA[A Bihar resident has been arrested in a joint operation by the Delhi Police and the Railway Police for allegedly killing his roommate on December 26. The accused was arrested from Khanjarpur village in Bihar, the police told on Thursday. Deputy Commissioner of Police (Dwarka) Mr. Shibesh Singh told that Prabhakar Thakur is accused of bludgeoning to death Gaurav, who was an electrician at a banquet hall in Dwarka. The police said the complainant, the manager of the banquet hall, had told them that Gaurav stayed with Prabhakar after he lost his job. The police told that Gaurav was an electrician at the banquet hall but lost his job after it shut down. He used to stay in Krishna Garden with Prabhakar. When the manager entered Krishna Garden the next day, he saw blood oozing out of the bridal room and Gaurav lying dead, adding that Gaurav’s wallet and phone were missing. CCTV footage showed Prabhakar leaving the room the previous night. Meanwhile, the police put Gaurav’s phone under technical surveillance. “Its location was traced to Seemanchal Express. A police team was sent to Patna and Prabhakar was nabbed from his village. Gaurav’s belongings were recovered from him,” Mr Singh told. During interrogation, Prabhakar told the police that he needed money to file a case in an ongoing dispute over agricultural land in his village. Mr. Singh told that he was aware that Gaurav had received Rs. 10,000 from his employers at the banquet hall and decided to kill him for the money. He attacked him with a brick while he was asleep.]]>
