<![CDATA[VARANASI: A teenage girl was allegedly kidnapped in Ranipur area of Mau district on Sunday night. The police lodged an FIR against a youth of Ghazipur district under Sections 363 and 366 of IPC and POCSO Act. In a series of violent crimes, a girl was slain in Ballia by stalkers while another one was stabbed in Azamgarh. Similarly, a girl was stalked and dragged in Mirzapur district while some girls were molested in a school bus in Maudistrict. A youth with the help of his three aides kidnapped the minor girl from his house in Akbarpur locality in Ranipur police station area on Sunday night. The girl's parents reported the matter to police accusing a youth Rudal, resident of Ghazipur district, of kidnapping their daughter. The Ranipur SO Mr.Ram Murat Singh Yadav expressed that efforts are on to locate the girl and nab the kidnappers. An FIR was lodged under sections 363 (kidnapping) and 366 (kidnapping, abducting or inducing woman to compel her marriage) of IPC and Protection of Children from Sexual Offences (POCSO) Act in this connection. The SO, however, claimed that the girl had also eloped with the same youth on July 26, and was recovered later. Earlier on August 8, a 17-year-old girl Ms. Ragini Dubey's throat was slit by eve teasers in full public view in Baansdih Road police station area of Ballia district. The police booked five persons including the Gram Pradhan and his son under sections 302, 354, 348 and 345 of IPC. Later, the police arrested two accused, while three others surrendered themselves in the court. Another girl in Azamgarh district was stabbed when she opposed eve-teasing in on August 30. She was rushed to the community health centre. The police lodged an FIR against three persons in this connection under sections 354, 323, 504 and 506 of IPC and arrested the main accused. In another incident a group of goons forcefully boarded a school bus and molested some girl students in Mau district on August 10. The goons also beat up other students badly when they objected to the misbehaviour. The police lodged an FIR against 15 persons under Sections 147, 148, 354, 506 of IPC. And on August 11. a case of stalking and teasing a college going girl was reported from Chunar area of Mirzapur district. The police arrested a youth and lodged FIR against five in this connection.]]>
