<![CDATA[Two men were arrested by the Crime Branch on Thursday over a murder case of Gurugram school’s finance officer on May 19 last year. One of the accused got himself admitted in a drug rehabilitation center in order to evade arrest. The police told that the two men were hired by a student’s father to kill Tarun Kumar Pandey, Finance Officer of Rotary Public School in Gurugram, after the school did not promote a child to the next class as he suffered from epilepsy. In May, the Gurugram Police had arrested the student’s father Bhupender Dalal, a property dealer along with two others. The Crime Branch arrested two accused involved in the murder case of school finance officer. The arrested accused were identified as Vinod alias Bhagat, 27, and Amit, 22, and were hired by Dalal. Mr. Bhisham Singh, DCP (Crime) told that the accused Amit had taken admission in an alcohol de-addiction centre to avoid arrest. Explaining the arrest, DCP Singh told that Dalal’s son studied in Rotary Public School in Gurugram. The school had not promoted his son from class 5 to 6 and advised him to take the child to a different school. Dalal had then filed a complaint against the school at The Deputy Commissioner’s office. Pandey had, then, come to represent the school. DCP Singh told that Dalal had decided to teach a lesson to the school authorities and called local goons from Najafgarh area to thrash Pandey. On May 19, Dalal along with other accused thrashed Pandey near his house with iron rod and bricks. Pandey was admitted at the Columbia Hospital with fractured hands and legs. Dalal had also threatened to kill Pandey but the latter succumbed to his injuries at the hospital. He added that the three men including Dalal were arrested by the Gurugram Police while Vinod and Amit were absconding. The police had also issued a non-bailable warrant against them. The police said Vinod was arrested on December 27, while he had come home to collect money from his family. Vinod’s arrest led to Amit who had got himself admitted to an alcohol de-addiction centre. Mr. Singh told “We got a tip-off about Amit, who is a chronic alcoholic, that he had got himself admitted to a de-addiction centre, in order to evade arrest. He was held from a de-addiction centre located in Dwarka Sector 3,”.]]>
