<![CDATA[A 24-year-old man has been arrested for being involved in around 50 burglaries in southwest Delhi’s Bindapur, the police told on Monday. Jewellery worth Rs.20 lakh, a stolen LCD, laptop and ATM cards, among other artifacts were recovered from the accused, the police added. With the arrest of the accused, Akash, a resident of Anand Vihar in Uttam Nagar, the police have claimed to solve 17 cases. The Bindapur police had received a complaint of burglary and started investigating the matter during which it came to light that the burglar had entered inside a house after cutting the iron net of the back gate of house. During investigation, the team analyzed the CCTV cameras of the area for clues and found the footage of the street dogs barking at the man and one of them was seen biting his leg, they told. The police team checked all the nearby private and government hospitals where the man could have gone for treatment for dog bite. On April 31, police received a confidential piece of information about the accused coming to Khera Park in Uttam Nagar to meet one of his associates and to dispose of the stolen jewellery, they told.
