<![CDATA[Three persons have been arrested for allegedly killing an auto-rickshaw driver in the first week of April, the police told on Friday. The police told that the accused had called the victim, Mr. Deepak, a thief after which the two sides got into an argument. Following this, the accused thrashed and strangulated the victim to death in Sangam Vihar on April 4. DCP (South) Mr.Romil Baaniya told that the accused have been identified as Nadeem, Deepak alias Deepu, and Shah Alam. The police told that the family had alleged the involvement of four to five persons who were allegedly last seen with Mr. Deepak who had no role to play. They scanned CCTV footage of the area where the victim’s body was found. Mr. Baaniya told that in the footage, two persons were seen taking the deceased towards the jungle area. During interrogation, the accused allegedly told the police that the three of them were drinking in the fields and while going home, they had seen the victim. This is when Mr. Shah Alam called him thief after which they got involved in a fight. The DCP told that he retaliated and in the heat of the moment, the accused killed him.]]>
