The beat police from Kengeri while on night rounds chased and caught an accused, who along with three of his associates, had allegedly robbed a car driver on Monday night. According to the police, the accused assaulted and robbed Rs. 5,000 from Harish, a cab driver, before escaping in the car. Based on a complaint, the control room alerted the beat officers, who intercepted and caught the vehicle at a checking point. However, three of the accused managed to escape. The police have recovered the cash from the arrested accused.
