North and Middle Andaman: In a proactive effort to educate and empower the youth, Police Station Billiground conducted a series of awareness programs focusing on cyber crime, road safety, and drug abuse. These programs took place at Government Middle Schools in Billiground, Shantipur, Shivapuram, and Padnabhapuram in North and Middle Andaman District.
On July 24, 2024, the sessions engaged students and faculty members from these schools. Officers from Billiground Police Station provided detailed insights and practical tips to help students and faculty members stay safe online, practice safe driving habits, and understand the health risks and legal implications of drug use. The programs aimed to provide crucial information on protecting against cyber crimes, understanding and adhering to road safety rules, and recognizing and avoiding the dangers of drug abuse.
The initiative was well-received, with active participation and positive feedback from both students and teachers.
