Kottayam: In Kottayam, District Police Chief K. Karthik paid tribute to the IPS martyrs with floral wreaths during a ceremony at the Kottayam District Headquarters on Police Commemoration Day. The event included the reading and remembrance of the names of police personnel who lost their lives in service between September 1, 2022, and August 31, 2023. Police Memorial Day is observed annually on October 21st to honor the sacrifice of police officers in the line of duty. Additional SP Sugathan, along with other DYSPs of the district, as well as police officials and various attendees, participated in the ceremony.
