Uttarakhand, Pithoragarh: In a bid to ensure proper implementation of law and order in the district, Pithoragarh District SP Mrs. Rekha Yadav has issued clear instructions to all the station in-charges to take necessary actions for the proper disposal of seized goods linked to various cases in their respective police stations. This directive is aimed at ensuring that the disposal of such goods is carried out in a lawful and orderly manner, in compliance with the legal framework.
As part of these instructions, SHO Jauljibi, Mr. Sanjeev Kumar, in coordination with his police team, executed the disposal of six items associated with cases under the Excise Act. The disposal of these goods was carried out following the explicit orders of the Hon’ble Court of DDhat, marking a significant step in the enforcement of judicial directions. Similarly, SHO Thal, Mr. Ambi Ram Arya, along with his police team, undertook the destruction of seven goods linked to Excise Act cases, again in strict adherence to the instructions of the Hon’ble Court of DDhat.
This action not only ensures that the seized goods, which included illicit liquor, are disposed of in an appropriate manner but also reinforces the district’s commitment to upholding the rule of law. The disposal was conducted following the prescribed procedures laid out by the Hon’ble Court and in accordance with legal guidelines. The disposal of these illicit goods is part of a broader effort to maintain public safety, uphold the integrity of law enforcement, and ensure that court orders are executed effectively. The proactive steps taken by the police are seen as critical in reinforcing the legal framework and contributing to the overall stability of law and order in the district.
