Nainital: On Tuesday, Nainital district police documented a non-bailable warrant case against the man accused of shooting at a journalist in Haldwani, in accordance with the authorization of the Uttarakhand High Court. On March 2019, a journalist was shot in the district of Nainital. In regard to the incident, the state HC on June 25, had asked police to investigate the matter as soon as possible and submit an instant response against the man accused within a week for attacking a journalist. Accordingly, police submitted a non-bailable warrant against the accused. Police will soon launch an operation against the accused and if the accused does not surrender himself, his movable and non-movable belongings will be seized said Mr. Dushyant Mainali, the Counsel for the petitioner. Earlier too, similar incident happened on March 25, where a journalist, Manoj Singh Bora was shot by attackers. The police had already apprehended two persons associated with the case. One of the assailants is still yet to be arrested. So, Mr. Mainali gave assurance to the grieved family that police would soon take serious action against such culprits. ]]>
