North and Middle Andaman: In a proactive effort to bolster community safety and security, the N&MA District Police Stations organized a public meeting and interactive session with local fishermen and villagers. The event aimed to raise awareness about potential threats from illegal activities by foreign elements and poachers in the region.
During the meeting, police officials informed attendees about the dangers posed by poaching and other unlawful activities conducted by foreign entities in territorial waters. They stressed the importance of community vigilance in preventing such activities and safeguarding local livelihoods.
Fishermen and villagers were advised on precautionary measures to take during their daily routines. They were instructed to remain vigilant for any suspicious activity, including the movement of unfamiliar boats, individuals, or objects. The community was encouraged to report any suspicious observations to the local police immediately to ensure a prompt response.
