New Delhi: A man aged 35 was hit by speeding vehicle this morning and lost his life. The name of the victim was Dheeraj, a member of former Lok Janshakti Party. Earlier he had complaint police claiming his life was under threat. According to police report, an FIR have been filed against the speeding vehicle. Police were tracing the footage of speeding vehicle from CCTV to identify the vehicle. The scene in the CCTV showed that the speeding vehicle was black in colour, presumably Hyundai Creta. It was coming from South Delhi and hit scooterist near the gate of Five star-hotel. Immediately, police received Put-call Ratio (PCR) about the incident that had occurred around 5.45 am this morning. After reaching the spot, police had taken Dheeraj’s body to the hospital immediately. However, he was declared dead before any treatment could proceed. His body was sent for post mortem. Now, police registered an FIR against the speeding vehicle for the violation of sections 304-A and 279 IPC at the Parliament Street Police station. Police promised to look into the matter seriously and arrest the culprit as soon as possible. So, police formed four teams to catch the person responsible for the dead. The family members of the deceased complaint to the police that some people had targeted him since the time he was allegedly involved in a property dispute. In addition, family members said he had even reported to police earlier of his death threat, received from others. Therefore, the kin of the deceased launched the protest at RML hospital and Free Church, demanding justice. ]]>
