Hyderabad, Telangana: In a swift and proactive operation, the Hyderabad Commissioner’s Task Force (Charminar Zone) along with Amberpet Police Station successfully foiled a murder conspiracy and arrested three individuals, seizing an illegal firearm and ammunition.
The accused have been identified as Dhamara Arun Kumar (48), a real estate businessman from Malkajgiri, Mohammed Abbu (26), a pan shop owner from Yapral, and Mir Muzammil Ali Khan (23), a student from Yakutpura.
Based on credible information, police apprehended the trio on March 9, 2026, at Ali Café X Road in Amberpet. During the operation, officers seized one country-made pistol with a magazine, six live rounds, one electric scooty, and three mobile phones from their possession.
Preliminary investigation revealed that the main accused, Dhamara Arun Kumar, had allegedly planned to murder his second wife due to suspicion of an extramarital relationship. To execute the plan, he reportedly contacted Mohammed Abbu, who introduced him to Mir Muzammil Ali Khan to procure a firearm.
Further inquiries indicated that the weapon and ammunition were allegedly sourced from Munger in Bihar for ₹35,000 and later sold to Arun Kumar for ₹1.10 lakh. The accused had even tested the firearm at a farmland in Yadadri Bhuvanagiri district before the planned crime.
Acting on a tip-off, the Task Force and Amberpet Police intercepted the accused while they were allegedly finalizing the murder plan, thereby preventing a serious crime.
Police are continuing their investigation to apprehend the remaining suspects, identified as Tabish and Salamath alias Salman from Munger, who are currently absconding. The timely action of the police has been widely appreciated for preventing a major crime and ensuring public safety.
