Ramanathapuram, Tamil Nadu, July 9 – In a proactive step to ensure the safety of devotees ahead of the grand chariot procession at Kandadevi Sornamoortheeswarar Temple near Devakottai in Sivaganga district, senior police officers conducted a detailed inspection of the temple premises and chariot route.
The inspection was led by Ramanathapuram District Superintendent of Police, Mr. G. Sandesh, IPS, along with Madurai SP Mr. B.K. Aravind, IPS, Chengalpattu SP Mr. Sai Praneeth, IPS, Salem Nagar DCP Mr. N.U. Sivaraman, IPS, and Krishnagiri SP Mr. Thangadurai.
The team reviewed crowd management plans, verified key points along the chariot route, and conducted a full-scale security rehearsal to ensure smooth and safe proceedings during the event.
The joint inspection reflects the Tamil Nadu Police’s commitment to public safety and its coordinated efforts to uphold tradition while maintaining law and order during large-scale religious gatherings.
