Vizianagaram: District SP Ms. M. Deepika, IPS, emphasized the importance of prioritizing health during the Police Martyrs Remembrance Day 2023 events. A Mega Medical Camp organized by the District Police Department offered free ECGs, BP checks, blood tests, and distributed essential medicines. Medical professionals from Tirumala – Medicover Hospital actively participated in this health initiative. District SP Ms. M. Deepika, as the chief guest, inaugurated the camp held at the Police Parade Ground in the Centre as part of the Police Martyrs Memorial Day 2023 programs.
She highlighted the critical role of the police in maintaining peace and security, emphasizing that neglecting one’s health could lead to sickness and even loss of life in the line of duty. In honor of the sacrifices made by police martyrs, Tirumala – Medicover Hospital, with the support of cardiology, general medicine, and orthopedic experts, organized this medical camp for both police families and the general public.
District SP Ms. M. Deepika urged everyone to be vigilant about their health. Around 80 families and individuals took part in the mega medical camp, receiving complimentary medical examinations and medications. Those identified with severe illnesses were referred to Tirumala – Medicover Hospital for further treatment. Medical professionals including Dr. Tirumala Prasad, Dr. Mahesh, Dr. VN Padmakumar, Cardiologist Dr. Life, Dr. Ashwini, Dr. Anwar, and Murali from Tirumala – Medicover Hospital actively participated in conducting medical check-ups. The event saw a significant turnout, with District SP Ms. M. Deepika, Additional SP Ms. Asma Fardeen, SEB Additional SP Mr. S. Venkata Rao, AR DSP Universe, and several other police officers and staff participated.
