According to reports, the police team stationed at PP Reshipora had established a checkpoint in the village of Reshipora. During their duties, they noticed a Tavera vehicle with registration number JK01AK-6593 passing by with two individuals on board. Acting on suspicion, the police team intercepted the vehicle and conducted a thorough search.
Upon inspection, they found 190 grams of Charas in the possession of Sameer Ahmad Shekh, son of Mohd Saleem Shekh, and Gulzar Ahmad Shekh, son of Mohd Lateef Shekh. The two individuals were promptly arrested and taken into police custody for further investigation. The vehicle used in the commission of the crime was also confiscated.
The police have registered a case under relevant sections of the law and have initiated further investigations into the matter.
