Thane: A Police officer, as he comes to know that a woman was in danger saved her life by taking quick and prompt action on Tuesday. The woman is a resident of Thane. The young woman went to the fifth floor of the Police quarters in the morning at around 9 a.m with an intension to end her life and was sitting on the ledge of the building. She was spotted by a resident of the building who raised an alarm. On hearing the alarm signal Assistant Police Inspector Mr. Vishwas Jadhav of Shantinagar police station, who was present at the time of the incident at the fifth floor as he is a resident of the same floor, rushed out of his flat and immediately pulled the woman to safety,” Mr. Kadam said. Mr. Santosh Kadam, heads the Regional Disaster Management Cell of the Thane Municipal Corporation. Previously on July 17, Ms. Preeti Kini had attempted to end her life in front of the District Rural Police headquarters, but was saved by police personnel. When questioned about her action she had told police that she wanted to take her life as her in-laws were not allowing her to meet her husband. ]]>
