Purulia: During the nationwide lockdown due to the coronavirus pandemic, the Purulia District Superintendent of Police, Mr. Selvamurugan, I.P.S. who is a Corona Warrior had worked with a service spirit, putting his life at risk and has contributed significantly by providing all kinds of humanitarian aid to the Corona-infected people, for the return of migrant laborers home. Mr. Nitish Goswami, in-charge of Tamna police station of Purulia district, in the beginning of lockdown with service sentiment, has distributed food, money, rice, lentils, potatoes, soap, various food items to the local, poor, laborer’s family and had sent the people home. For this noble cause, various police officers of Tamna police station, including police constables and all civic volunteers have extended their hands to cooperate in this work. As the All Indian Reporters Association proudly recalls the service dedicated to the country in the Coronavirus outbreak. We also honor him.
On 29th September 2020, the Honorable Purulia District Superintendent of Police, Mr. S. Selvamurugan IPS has been awarded the Corona Warrior Award, Badge, and Souvenirs. The Tamana police station, in charge of the station, Mr. Nitish Goswami has been honored by giving Corona Yodgha Award, Vaij, Utriya, Memorial. We sincerely respect these Corona warriors. On this occasion, All India Reporters Association West Bengal Pradesh President Vishnu Chandra Pal, West Bengal State Organization Secretary Anirban Banerjee, State Public Relations Secretary Gautam Pramanik, State Executive Committee, and State Core Committee member Deepen Gupta were present.
