Hyderabad City, Telangana: In a proactive move to ensure a safe and smooth Ganesh immersion, a high-level security review meeting was convened at Madhuranagar Police Station, West Zone. The meeting was presided over by Mr. C.V. Anand, IPS, Director General & Commissioner of Police, Hyderabad.
Commissioner Anand emphasized the importance of public safety and seamless conduct of the immersion processions. He directed all officials to stay vigilant and take preventive measures against common festive-time offenses such as pickpocketing, eve-teasing, and chain snatching. Special attention is being given to deploying She Teams and volunteers alongside local police to enhance safety, especially for women and children.
A comprehensive action plan was laid out covering both law and order and traffic regulation. Instructions were given to ensure that Ganesh processions begin early and conclude in a peaceful and organized manner.
Commissioner Anand also made a heartfelt appeal to all devotees and the general public to extend their full cooperation to the police to maintain peace and communal harmony during the celebrations.
The meeting was attended by senior officers including DCPs and ACPs of the West Zone, who reiterated their commitment to ensuring a secure festive atmosphere for all citizens.
