The RR Nagar police on Friday questioned a few classmates of 18-year-old Meghana, a first year civil engineering student of Dayanand Sagar Engineering College, who allegedly killed herself in her house on Tuesday evening. Her parents have said that she was being harassed by her classmates and teaching staff. The police have verified that a video clip of her arguing with her classmates, which went viral on social media, had been shot hours before her body was found. Meghana and her classmates were fighting over a common friend, the police told. Police also want to question a college lecturer who has been named by the parents. “Efforts are on to track him,” a senior police officer told.
