North and Middle Andaman: In the continuous endeavor to combat the illicit manufacturing of liquor, the PS Rangat police, under the N&M Andaman police team of A&N police force, has once again taken decisive action. In the Shyamkund jungle, Bakultala, a significant quantity of Lehan was demolished. Acting on a crucial tip-off, Inspector R.K. Mazumder promptly assembled a dedicated team, comprising PCs Pranab Halder, K. Samir, Yashwant Rao, and Ct Subol Bepari. This proficient team expeditiously confiscated 550 liters of Lehan, along with containers, various utensils, and wood supplies crucial for illicit liquor production. These materials were astutely concealed at different locations within the jungle. All seized items were promptly destroyed, dealing a substantial blow to the illicit liquor manufacturing network. The entire operation unfolded seamlessly under the vigilant supervision of Shri. Vishesh Dhatterwal, DANIPS, SDPO Rangat, and was directed and supervised overall by Ms. Niharika Bhatt, IPS, Superintendent of Police, N&M Andaman District.
