Ganjam: In a significant operation aimed at curbing illegal gambling activities, the dedicated teams from the Bellaguntha and Sorada police stations of Ganjam Police launched a series of coordinated raids on known gambling dens in the region. This meticulously planned operation led to the successful seizure of various items commonly associated with gambling, including numerous playing cards and several mobile phones used for communication and transactions related to the illicit activities.
Additionally, law enforcement officials confiscated a total of ₹32,960 in cash, which is believed to be proceeds from the gambling operations. During the raids, the police apprehended eight individuals who were found participating in these unlawful activities, demonstrating a strong commitment to maintaining public order and safety.
