Thiruvarur: Under the direct orders of the District Superintendent of Police, Thiruvarur, Mr. S. Jayakumar, M.Sc (Agri.), a comprehensive security operation has been initiated in Tiruvarur District in anticipation of the 78th Independence Day celebrations. As part of this operation, the Explosive Squad and Sniffer Squad are conducting intensive and systematic searches throughout the district on 14.08.2024.
These searches are being carried out at key public areas, including the bus station, railway station, bustling shopping streets, and prominent temples. Additionally, special attention is being given to the Thiruvarur district sports ground, the designated venue for the upcoming Independence Day festivities. The aim of these meticulous inspections is to ensure the safety and security of all citizens and to maintain a peaceful atmosphere during the celebrations.
