Kerala, Thrissur City: In Thrissur City, as part of Police Remembrance Day 2024, student police cadets (SPC) from various district schools visited local police stations to participate in special programs organized by the Thrissur City Police District. Upon arrival, students were welcomed by the station’s public relations officers, while each station’s in-charge briefed them on station operations, including areas such as the lock-up, weaponry, and key regulations. Schools throughout the city are also hosting related activities to honor Police Memorial Day. To date, around 600 SPC students from schools within the jurisdiction of ten city police stations have taken part in these visits, with additional visits planned in the coming days for SPC students from schools in other parts of the district. District Police Chief Ilango RAPS remarked that these visits are valuable in fostering law awareness and discipline among students.
