Almora, Uttarakhand, June 4: In a timely and courageous rescue operation, the Jageshwar Police, led by Outpost In-charge Shri Bhagwan Giri, successfully rescued a man who had fallen into a deep gorge near Artola this evening.
The victim, Manoj, a resident of Dodam Jageshwar, was on his way back to his village when he accidentally slipped and fell into a 150-meter-deep ditch below the plant area in Artola. On receiving the alert, the police team quickly reached the spot and, with the assistance of local residents, managed to retrieve the injured man.
He was immediately rushed to the hospital for medical treatment. The swift action of the police and the cooperation of the public helped prevent what could have been a tragic incident.
