NAVI MUMBAI: School-going children spotted five suspicious-looking men near a naval base in Uran in Navi Mumbai after which an alert has been sounded by the Police in Mumbai on Thursday afternoon. Schools have been closed down searches were conducted as the nature of information was sensitive. An official of the Navi Mumbai Police said, “Children of Uran education society spotted the suspicious men, after which the police were informed”. Mr. Dilip Sawant, Deputy Commissioner of Police (DCP) said, the searches were on and so far nothing had been found. The presence of the naval base in Uran – 50 kilometre from Mumbai – triggered concerns of a repeat of Sunday’s militant attack on an army base in Kashmir’s Uri town. ]]>
