Cybarabad: The Special Operations Team (SOT) of Rajendra Nagar Zone and the Shabad Police recently took a major step towards curbing drug trafficking in the region. In a successful operation, they intercepted the transportation of a banned narcotic drug, marijuana, from Vijayawada to Shabad.
During the operation, the law enforcement officers apprehended two interstate drug peddlers and seized a whopping 230 Kilograms of Ganja, along with a car, a bike, 3 mobile phones, and cash worth Rs.8,50,000/-. The confiscated items are estimated to be worth around Rs.54,50,000/-.
The successful operation is a clear indication of the relentless efforts of the police department to curb the menace of drug trafficking in the region.
